Malayalam actress Chitra, who has likewise worked in Tamil movies, died at her home in Chennai. Chitra who was born on 21 May 1965 in Kochi, Kerala inhaled her last because of cardiac arrest. She was merely 56.

Chitra, who is popularly known as Nallennai Chithra, the renowned actress of the 80s, acquired a huge name in the Malayalam industry for thirty years. She has worked in more than 100 movies. Prior to her demise, the actress was occupied with shooting for Tamil serials. Chitra worked in two Hindi movies ‘Razia’ and ‘Ek Nai Paheli’.
